Spring!

Here's a quick rundown of what we've been up to since we got back from the east coast:

We went to visit daddy at work and have lunch together in Denver, and we stopped in at Tattered Cover, our favorite bookstore, before we headed home.

We celebrated Nana Lin's birthday, and both Sabine and cousin E behaved beautifully while we ate a restaurant.

Plus we've gotten in some time at home; Sabine continues to dote on HER babies.

The weather was beautiful last week, so we made it to the zoo with some friends.

Sabine even overcame her fear of the merry-go-round, and got back on. (She loved it the first two times we went, then she has refused to get on the last several times, so this was a welcome surprise!) Sabine doesn't seem to have a favorite animal in general, but she ALWAYS rides the cheetah on the zoo merry-go-round. This is the third time she's been on it, and she's always picked the cheetah.

And speaking of animals, Sabine's been having a great time at the farm, once a week. She's slowly working on her fear of the cows and the llama, and I think the warmer weather has helped encourage her to stay outside longer. That, and the fact that the llama is housed with the sheep, who just had lambs! They are really cute, and we talk about the baby sheep at home a lot.

And the BIG news in our house, we are finishing our basement! It'll be wonderful to have all that extra play and storage space, but in the meantime it's quite noisy during the day, and Sabine tells our contractor daily that she doesn't like his "tool noise." Still, it's fun to go downstairs and explore all the changes every evening with daddy.

And finally, one fun picture I got with my phone this week. I've been getting creative with my phone, and playing with some of the photo editing apps, because my nice camera has a dead battery and I've misplaced the charger. While we wait to find it/order a new one, I'm exploring my smart phone more. I LOVE it.
