Our Trip: Part 1

We had a very full and fun trip back east, so I'm breaking it out into two posts because I just can't narrow down the pictures. Our first day there, we drove down to Fenwick Island to see some dear family friends, as well as the much-anticipated beach.

The friends were wonderful, and even served chocolate cake. Sabine loved every minute.

The beach, on the other hand, was cold and windy, and Sabine was only willing to walk for a brief time before she insisted on being held so that she could bury her head into someone's jacket.

Still, we got a few good pictures.

And seashells were found, so all was not lost. (Except for the part of the seashell that Sabine ate on the way home. That part is gone for good.)

Friday was The Big Day, and Sabine and her second cousin, A, gave their great-grandmom a corsage for her birthday.

And then we took a ton of pictures. Four generations:

And then Sabine saw the fireplace, and she and Baby (who, conveniently, had a matching dress) were done with pictures.

And then another soon-to-be second cousin joined her, and OH! A Big GIRL! Sabine was in love.

Coming Soon....

Sorry for the quiet around here, we took a trip back east to celebrate Sabine's great-grandmother's 100th birthday, and we didn't have any computer access during that time. It was a wonderful trip, the party was a huge success, and we saw lots of friends and family in one short week. We also missed Nana Lin very much, since we had to miss her birthday because she shares the exact same day with Great Grandmom. Happy birthday, too, Nana!

There are lots of pictures to come from our trip, but I haven't finished going through them yet. For now, here's a teaser. I think it's my favorite picture from the whole week:
