We had an AMAZING trip to Disneyland this week! None of us were ready to leave, and we are already plotting when our next visit to see Mickey will be.
The trip had an auspicious start, beginning at 4:45 AM on Saturday morning, after Sabine had been up with a fever the night before. The flight went fine, other than Sabine's ear bothering her, and then we tried to rest on the bus ride to the hotel.
Some were more successful than others!
Fortunately, Goofy was there to greet us as we checked in.
Eventually we got checked into our room, and Aspen got wrangled into a nap. Sabine found a second wind, and made it to her appointment at the Anna & Elsa boutique, where she got an Elsa hairdo, makeup, tiara, and fingernail polish!

Then she and daddy met up with one of Daddy's best friends and his family, and everyone came back to the hotel room when Aspen woke up. Aspen was thrilled to meet a new baby. (Both girls were, but Sabine didn't get to interact as closely since we weren't sure what kind of germs she might have.)
Then we all headed out to explore Downtown Disney and get some dinner.
There was an impressive Lego store, with lots of cool characters made entirely out of Legos!
We tried to go to dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, but some scary animatronics kept us from feeling comfortable there, so we opted for a really nice New Orleans-inspired restaurant, where we had a delicious dinner and got to enjoy our friends right up until we had to dash back for a late bedtime.
