Christmas Eve

We celebrated Christmas Eve with Nana, Aunt Dani, and our cousins. We had a wonderful, cozy day together, and, of course, the highlight for the kids was the gift exchange. (The highlight for mommy and daddy were Aunt Dani's dips! All six of them! Yum.)

They all made out like bandits, with Sabine raking in the Shopkins and a full set of Harry Potter books, and Aspen getting a ton of new dress-up clothes and little dollies, among other things. 

We all had a great time, and even got to see a beloved babysitter, K, who joined us for a delicious dinner.

When we got home we quick changed into pajamas, listened to "The Night Before Christmas" read by Grandpa, so they were there in voice, if not in person this year,



put out some cookies (and sampled a few),

said "until next year!" to Snowflake, and took one last peek outside for any UFOs,

and quickly went to bed.
