Sabine's first day of preschool was yesterday, Tuesday, September 3.
The outside may not be much to look at, but inside the classrooms are bright and colorful and filled with activities, the teachers are great, and the other kids all seem to get along well.
Sabine was actually a little disappointed to learn that it was the same place with the same people that she went to for camp. I think she was expecting something new. But it did make the transition easy, she immediately got down to business drawing in her notebook, sitting next to her buddy W, who happens to also go to her farm school, and was too busy to say goodbye when I left.
Apparently they also made play dough, ate a parent-provided snack, played outside, did a puzzle, and read books. Sabine buddied up again with another little girl that she became close to during her week at camp, and it sounds like they more or less stuck together all day. It was a very successful first day!

I'm so glad she loved it so much! Hamish screamed for weeks every time we left him, even though he admitted to having a heap of fun after he'd calmed down. And I always though my adventurer would handle it with ease. Apparently, adventure is safer when Mummy's there!
