We had a very merry Christmas.
Both girls were up bright and early on Christmas morning!
They came out of their rooms to discover a few presents under their tree upstairs first, including some fun gifts from Uncle Eric and Aunt Diana.
and then suited up and came downstairs to discover everything else!
The girls got a lot of really lovely gifts that they were quite excited about, some of the highlights were a Jane Goodall-inspired tent for Sabine's dolls,
a Victorian paper doll house/book, and a Hermione (Harry Potter!) costume for Sabine's doll Coral,
and a set of figures and scenery from the movie Frozen for Aspen.
And just like that, imaginative play began for her!
And then mommy somehow forgot about taking pictures for the rest of the day. We didn't document the girls in their coordinated pajamas or Christmas dresses, we didn't document Nana, Aunt Dani, they boys, and a dear babysitter joining us for brunch and lots of play time, we didn't even document a happy, surprise visit from Grandmom and Grandpa, who summoned up every last bit of energy available (and then some?) to come all the way down the mountain just to be able to share in the Christmas spirit (and Yule Log cake!) for just a little bit. But it was a warm, wonderful day, full of family and love, if not pictures!
