Ready for Summer! (And 14 Weeks)
We're ready for summer!
Sabine's last day of preschool was last Thursday. (We have a week off, and then the summer session starts--same days and hours so her routine isn't disrupted too much.) But to celebrate the end of the year, we went over to Sweet Cow, our local ice cream shop, with several of her classmates, for some ice cream and after-school playtime.
For Memorial Day, we went in to Denver and had dairy free pizza at Mellow Mushroom. It was excellent! Aspen still has a dairy sensitivity, so I've been trying to avoid everything dairy (including, butter, cheese, and chocolate) and it was no small gift to find dairy-free pizza.
We spent the rest of the week on lots of play dates, trying to fill our time. We even went back to farm one day (Sabine is actually starting there again in the fall) with some friends, and Sabine had lots of fun playing tour guide.
Aspen is getting stronger by the day. We celebrated 14 weeks by trying out the Bumbo seat, and she loved it!
Her core is getting a lot stronger in general; you can see her trying to sit up a lot these days.
Her cough/cold finally ended, and her appetite has, thankfully, come back.
We've also found a way to do tummy time that she actually likes.
Any way to be with big sister is a win.
