We spent part of the weekends in the mountains with our good friends. We attempted to go to Keystone's Beer and Bluegrass festival, and while we made it to part of it, we came home a day early because Sabine was just overstimulated. Our little party girl was not ready to let go of a good time, and decided to stay up until 2:30
AM on Friday night. Then wanted to get up at 5:00. Needless to say, mommy and daddy were not excited about that sleeping pattern, so we spent Saturday enjoying the mountains
spending time with friends
checking out the lake, and pointing out ducks and geese
and even making a quick visit to the festival (Sabine REALLY seemed to like bluegrass, she kept applauding the band like crazy),
but eventually we packed it up and drove home. Sabine fell asleep before we were even out of the resort, so it was certainly the right decision, but we were sorry we didn't get to spend more time with our friends in the mountains. Clearly this means we just need to try again next year!
Maybe by then she'll be old enough to entertain herself all night long while mommy and daddy sleep.
