We had a great Father's Day, we spent the whole day at home with our extended family.
We had crepes in the morning:
And then spent some time outside, enjoying the perfect weather.
Daddy and cousin E made a quick trip to the grocery store together, while the rest of us relaxed.
And ran around.
We watched Mary Poppins, which Sabine LOVED, and continues to sing all the songs from!
And we had a BBQ for dinner. Putting the two best daddies in the whole world to work on their day. Fortunately, they are very agreeable, which is part of why we love them so very much.
Happy belated! xoxo

Estes 2013
We spent the weekend before last in Estes park with our good friends. This year we stayed in a bigger house that could accommodate all three families, instead of in three separate cabins, and that worked out really well.
We crammed a lot into 48 hours.
There was lots of outdoor time.
(Smelling sage.)
And some arts and crafts.
And baths.
And Sabine saw Peter Pan for the first time.
We went on one hike with everybody on Saturday.
(Mediocre views, eh?)
We went into town and waded in the river a little.
And on Sunday we went fishing.
And Sabine caught a fish!
Which we got to take home to eat.
But the highlight of the whole trip, according to Sabine, was the pony ride. Sabine got on a pony named Strawberry, mommy and daddy took turns leading, and she had a blast.

Springtime Visit to Michigan
We just got back from a wonderful trip to Michigan. We traveled with Nana Lin, Aunt Dani, and Ethan this time, and Sabine was a super traveler. She was helpful in the airport, and watched movies quietly on the plane.
We stayed with Aunt Vicki and Uncle Pat, and as always they were wonderful hosts, and took good care of us. We ate very well!
We also got a lot of good quality time with Great-Grandma Pat, and Sabine quickly remembered her extended family and coerced them into reading to her.
We also managed to meet up with some old friends at the Detroit zoo! B and E used to live in Denver, but recently moved to Michigan, so it was wonderful to get to see them again.
The kids and adults all really had a blast being together again.
We also got to celebrate Great-Grandma Pat's birthday while we were there. Sabine entertained us all with her dramatic flower play (Daddy is a good sport at picking squirmy, 32 lb flowers over and over):
And we enjoyed Great-Grandma Pat's cake very much.
We also played many, many rounds of Go Fish, recruiting various players at different times.
Playing well into the night.
It was a really fun trip, and wonderful to see all the family!
We made one last stop at the Big Boy restaurant, which is something of a familial icon, before heading on to the airport.
A beautiful trip, altogether.
